SweetLeaf Organic Powder Stevia
What I’m looking for in Good Stevia:
1). Little bitterness. I have long been on a “no added sugar diet”. It doesn’t mean that I’m perfect and I usually just end up eating dessert, but at least I have cut significantly down on my sugar intake. My energy levels are way higher. I have tried many brands of stevia. This sweet leaf is the one for me that has as little bitter aftertaste as possible.
2). Powder: I prefer the powder to the liquid. It is easier to shake out and season with.
3). No Additives. As close to whole stevia as possible. Please.
4). Cost: No need to spend more than $10 dollars.
5). Dissolve: When I add stevia as an ingredient into my food, I want it to dissolve. Some of the stevias on Amazon don’t dissolve very well and you end up having some bitter bites. Sweetleaf dissolves well for me.
Is this Stevia good for making Chocolate?
Yes. I used this recipe and made chocolate that was good. Even my kids liked it.
- 100g cocoa butter (about 1 cup)
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa (I used Ghirardelli)
- 1/4 teaspoon stevia extract powder
- 1 teaspoon sugar-free vanilla extract
- Peanut Butter
