The Problem: CHRONIC DRY SCALP
I have battled dry scalp for as long as I can remember. It usually happens at the crown of my head. It itches like hell and I usually itch it. When I itch it, it bleeds. I don’t want my head to bleed anymore.
I have tried all of the medicated dry scalp shampoos, including these that are HIGHLY rated on Amazon to fix dry scalp:
Head and Shoulders dry scalp shampoo medication with some kind of Almond milk or something. I paid about $10 bucks for it and used it religiously for one month. My scalp got worse, and I kid you not. Sorry Head and Shoulders, you were no the remedy for me.
So, I tried T/Gel Therapeutic shampoo (recommended from my Dad). You see, dry scalp runs in the family. The only difference between me and dad is that he has dandruff and I don’t. I just have scabs from where I itch too hard:
Sorry, this stuff didn’t work for me. It made it worse.
So What worked for my Dry Scalp?
I attack my chronic dry scalp as follows:
1). I dumped all of the highly medicated shampoos.
Now I use Johnson’s Baby Shampoo: This stuff is gentle. It fits my baby like personality. It really alleviated my problems immediately. When I don’t have Johnson’s baby shampoo, and I have to use a regular shampoo, by night time I can feel the dry itch come back.
2). Sarna Anti-Itch Lotion
I bought some of this sarna anti itch lotion on Amazon. It works. It doesn’t have a smell to it. And it doesn’t have a steroid. I apply it almost daily onto the crown of my head:
Amazon solves all of my problems (except for my low self esteem). But sometimes it takes going through a few products before I finally get it right. I have definitely found the combination that works for my scalp. I swear by this.
